Purpose of donations
Donations support the charitable and nonprofit work of Fante Wikimedians Community, including Fante-language knowledge, volunteer development, training, outreach, cultural documentation, learning resources, partnerships, and reasonable administration.
Core terms
- All donations are voluntary.
- One-time and recurring payments are processed through Paystack.
- A donor may choose to remain anonymous or request optional public recognition.
- Donations do not purchase editorial influence, organisational control, employment, membership, or preferential treatment.
- The organisation may decline or return a donation that conflicts with its mission, independence, safety, legal obligations, or reputation.
Refunds and payment errors
Refund requests are considered case by case, especially for duplicate payments, incorrect amounts, or suspected unauthorised transactions. Contact the organisation as soon as possible with the transaction reference, payment date, and amount. Processing charges already deducted by the payment provider may affect the refundable amount.
Privacy and communications
Donor information is used to process donations, respond to payment questions, provide acknowledgements, comply with applicable obligations, and send updates only where the donor has requested them. Donor details are not sold. Public recognition requires permission.
Payment-card and mobile-money credentials are entered on Paystack’s payment pages and are not collected directly by this website.
Recurring support
Recurring donors may change or cancel support using instructions supplied through the payment provider, where available, or by contacting the organisation. Requests should include the email address used for payment and a recent transaction reference, but never a card number, PIN, password, or one-time code.
