Fante Wikipedia and the Fante Wikimedians Community received two honours at the Ghanaian Wikimedia Community Awards 2025, recognising the growth of Fante-language knowledge and the collective work of our volunteer community.
The honours were formally accepted by the community and presented at the awards ceremony on 13 February 2026.
Project recognition
This award recognises Fante Wikipedia as a progressing Ghanaian-language project that recorded significant growth, strengthened local-language representation, and promoted Ghana’s linguistic diversity online.
