Our volunteer team coordinates programmes, training, outreach, communications, partnerships, reporting, finance, and administration to support the sustainable growth of Fante-language knowledge across Wikimedia projects.

Most contributors are based in Ghana, while others support the community remotely. Everyone involved—including coordinators and community leads—serves in a volunteer capacity.

Robert Obiri

Community Lead

Robert Obiri

As Community Lead, Robert has overall responsibility for coordinating the Fante Wikimedians Community, working with community members and volunteers to ensure the successful and sustainable growth of Fante-language content across Wikimedia projects.

Outside his community work, Robert is involved in Wikimedia activities and supports initiatives that promote free knowledge and local-language development. Robert is based in Ghana and actively engages with the wider Wikimedia movement.

Emmanuel Assilidjoe

Programme Coordinator

Emmanuel Assilidjoe

Emmanuel leads community programmes, edit-a-thons, training sessions, and outreach activities for Fante Wikimedia contributors.

He is a researcher, community advocate, translator, transcriber, and open-knowledge contributor with a strong passion for digital inclusion, indigenous-language preservation, and community development. He is actively involved in initiatives that promote access to free knowledge and empower underrepresented communities through technology and education. Beyond Wikimedia, Emmanuel participates in leadership and collaborative initiatives supporting innovation, youth empowerment, and indigenous-language communities in Ghana and across Africa.

Berikisu Ibrahim

Community Programme Support / Outreach Coordinator

Berikisu Ibrahim

Berikisu supports Wikimedia activities, training, content development, outreach, the onboarding of new editors, and community-engagement activities.

She is committed to advancing free knowledge, language representation, and community development within the Wikimedia movement. She contributes to Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects and is actively involved with the Fante Wikimedians Community. Her master’s degree in Linguistics informs her interest in language preservation, knowledge equity, and language-focused Wikimedia initiatives.

Communications Lead

Gloria Adokoh

Gloria handles communication, announcements, and documentation of Fante Wikimedians Community activities.

Eugene Masiku

Partnerships & Development Support

Eugene Masiku

Eugene leads partnerships, collaborations, and external engagement for community growth.

Blanche Micah-Davis

Finance & Administration Support

Blanche Micah-Davis

Blanche leads administrative coordination, reporting, and basic financial tracking for community activities and grants.

She is a social-impact and knowledge-dissemination enthusiast with a background in Journalism and Psychology. She has experience supporting strategy, administration, and programme delivery through her role as Programs and Business Development Lead for technology hubs in Ghana. She also volunteers with the Nehmiyah Foundation Communications Team, contributing to storytelling, outreach, and content development. Blanche is passionate about free knowledge, open collaboration, indigenous culture, and using digital platforms to amplify underrepresented voices and local knowledge.
